LCS SOMERSET WARMLY RECEIVED BY LC BEIJING

25th July, Sunday.  President Dianna Olivia Lim & Lion Clara Poo was warmly received by Lions Club, Beijing.

Some 200 sets of toiletories items (hand soaps, toothbrush and paste, comb, shampoo, shower gel) were collected from Lion Dianna's TCM classmates during their trainging in Beijing to be sent to 'Taiyang chun' (Sun Village) .
我们发动到北京完成最后一段实习的同学们收集浴室用品（下图），通过杨狮妹转赠给‘太阳村’的孩子们.

Project ReadingMMS at Wiengkaen, Thailand ~ Lead by Dr Bala Rajaratnam

Lions Club of Singapore Somerset extend invitation to fellow lions to join us on community project (from 17th – 30th March 2010) focused on developing literacy, understanding importance of personal hygiene and managing sport injury to ~1100 students in two schools at Wiengkaen; a hill-top Thai village close to the border with Loas. Programme is in collaboration with the National Youth Council's Youth Expedition Project involving 19 Nanyang Polytechnic students.

Books donated by Westgrove Primary School collected by Lion Clara Poo, President Dr Bala & Volunteer Samuel Lim.

A great help from Lion Wilson Chia from Fort Canning has significant experience in organising book drop programme to deserving organisation overseas

意旨在于教导泰国清迈以北两所学校1100多名学生阅读，个人卫生和运动劳损方面的讯息及其重要性.
这一次团队由Bala 博士带领南洋理工19位学生响应狮子会并携手完成任务

26 residents of Lions Home for the Elders (Toa Payon Rise) received full facial with chocolate mask finishing with rose water.

Residents were served by Past President (Dr Bala), President (Lion Dianna Olivia Lim), Vice President (Lion Christina Siow), Lions of LCS Somerset, volunteers from aromaArt, the schoold of aromatherapy & bodyworks and supported by Lion Irene Tan, 2nd Vice DG (2010/2011)

Step-by-step:
        ~ cleansing with rose cleansing milk
        ~ Massage with 1% blend of Geranium Rosewood & petitgain in
            Jojoba oil
        ~ Apply chocolate mask
        ~ Compress with rose water paper mask
        ~ Mask removed, finished with rose water

       ~ 贴上打湿玫瑰花水的面膜纸
       ~ 去除面膜，轻拍玫瑰花水保湿滋润皮肤
